Is for individuals who are…

….. Interested in a recognized qualification in Therapeutic Play Skills that will provide the competence to use play as a therapeutic medium in a range of early years and special needs settings. This will facilitate practitioners focusing on children’s specific needs in relation to holistic development.
 

Learners will engage in creative activities that will enhance their personal development, develop insights, awareness and contribute to understanding and meeting the needs of children in their care.

... The relevant knowledge, skill and competence to plan, deliver and evaluate therapeutic play-based interventions in specific Early Childhood Care and Education  settings?

Learners will gain an understanding of therapeutic play activities.and use their skills in a variety of Early Childhood Education and recreational settings.  

 

Learners will understand how to support early childhood development through creative expressive play and enable the child to make sense of and express his or her world in both a visual and tangible manner.

  • Competence in spoken and written English
