This Diploma in Predictive Data Analytics course is focused on demonstrating the newly identified importance of the area of data analytics and it’s role it plays in assisting organisations marketing and financial planning techniques.
Short summary of course
The learner is quickly introduced to the concept and relevance of predictive data analytics in relation to an organisation’s planning. The learner is also introduced to the competitive advantages which organisations can attain through using predictive data analystics in its forecasting and budgetary planning.
All sessions of the course will be lab based and the learner will be introduced to the RapidMiner software. Full training on how to use this software will be provided by the lecturer in the initial lectures.
There is no specific academic entry requirement for this course. The area of data analytics continues to become more centre stage and the objective of this course is to introduce the learner to the basic concepts and logic of this developing area.
100% Coursework – Learners will be required to build a predictive analytic model which will predict an outcome based on historical data. There is no examination in this module.
