The CIW JavaScript Specialist course teaches developers how to use the features of the JavaScript language to design client-side, platform-independent solutions. No prior knowledge of the JavaScript programming language is necessary. However, students should be familiar with using the Internet, developing Web pages and configuring networks to a level consistent with that found in the CIW Web Foundations series. Knowledge of X/HTML code development is required.

Technical Requirements
The following technical requirements apply to this online course: 128MB of RAM; Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, Minimum screen resolution 800×600, Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher; Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher; Flash 8.0 or higher; 56K minimum connection; broadband (256 kpbs or higher) connection recommended; Javascript, DHTML and cookies enabled; Sound card with speakers or headphones strongly recommended.

We offer an online pre-assessment test that mirrors the number of questions and distribution of skills objectives covered on the CIW exam.
