Montessori Method of Education Course (FETAC Level 6 Awards)

The Montessori method of Teaching is over 100 years old.  It has been proven by research statistics that it provides children with the best preparation for life.  Waterpark Montessori has spent twenty years researching and refining its programme and, with Dorset College, will bring you a top quality Montessori programme that will prepare you to set up Montessori classrooms to the highest standards.  You will enjoy the hard but inspiring work on this training. At the end you will have, not only a Waterpark Montessori international diploma and a FETAC qualification, but you will also have a beautiful set of personal albums on the Montessori method and materials.

A Diploma in Montessori trains you to educate children in a way that gives them the best possible foundation for life. It is an exciting philosophy that will help you to stay inspired as a parent, teacher or child care worker. You will learn to use a range of beautifully designed educational materials that help the child to build a strong base for their life skills, including good self esteem, the skill of caring for others and the ability to concentrate on tasks. A career as a Montessori teacher is challenging and satisfying.

Montessori is a highly specialised profession and requires attention and study as you prepare to become a Montesori teacher. We aim to give you an understanding of the importance of “best practice” in this profession. To ensure this level of training we have high standards for our students. To match that, we have high standards for our Montessori tutors who will teach you, thus ensuring that you have the resources to meet these standards. Our tutors are chosen with care, and apart from their own Montessori qualifications, they undergo a rigorous training and mentoring under the supervision of a senior and experienced trainer, before being appointed as Waterpark/Dorset College Montessori tutors.
