The ECDL-European Computer Driving Licence will enable the student to become more efficient and confident in their current job, develop IT skills, and enhance their career prospects. Students who successfully complete this ECDL course are ideally equipped with the practical skills to work in a modern business environment. Students who complete the ECDL START can progress to the full ECDL-European Computer Driving Licence by completing the 3 additional modules.
ECDL - European Computer Driving Licence Day Course
The course, ECDL-European Computer Driving Licence is the internationally recognised qualification, which enables people to demonstrate their competence in computer skills. ECDL is designed specifically for those who wish to gain a benchmark qualification in computing. It will enable them to develop their IT skills and enhance their career prospects. The ECDL european computer driving licence provides the knowledge and skills to pursue a range of positions and progress to a clearly defined career path - examples include CompTIA A+, Webdesign or AutoCAD or business related courses.
Pre-requisites
The requirement for ECDL is a basic working knowledge of computers.

Assessment
Students take an on-line examination at the end of each ECDL module. These are taken at our on-line exam centre at Dorset College.
Awards
The Full ECDL Certificate is awarded on completion of all 7 Modules. The ECDL Start Certificate is awarded to a candidate who has completed four out of a possible seven modules of the ECDL programme.
