ECDL - European Computer Driving Licence Course

ECDL - European Computer Driving Licence is the internationally recognised qualification, which enables people to demonstrate their competence in computer skills such as Using your Computer, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and the Internet.  The ECDL - European Computer Driving Licence is designed specifically for those who wish to gain a benchmark qualification in computing using the most up to date Microsoft applications (Micorosoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsofot Powerpoint).  It will enable them to develop their IT skills and enhance their career prospects. This ECDL course provides the knowledge and skills to pursue a range of positions and progress to a clearly defined career path - examples include CompTIA A+ (Computer Maintenance), CIW Website design or AutoCAD or other business related courses.

Pre-requisites

The requirement for the ECDL is a basic working knowledge of computers.

Assessment

With the ECDL - European Computer Driving Licence Course, students take an on-line examination at the end of each module.  These are taken at our on-line examination centre at Dorset College.

Awards

The Full ECDL European Computer Driving Licence Certificate is awarded on completion of all 7 Modules.  The ECDL Start Certificate is awarded to a candidate who has completed four out of a possible seven modules of the ECDL European Computer Driving Licence programme.
