Train the Trainer

Eleanor O’ Carroll is Director of Studies in Dorset College, managing the International Office with responsibility for overseeing the staff and liaising with the students in the English Language School, which she runs on a day to day basis. Eleanor has been the Chief Train the Trainer Course Tutor and Trainer for the past year and has successfully taken over 100 trainers from all walks of life though the Train the Trainer course with excellent results. In addition to this, Eleanor is the CELT Course Director (Certificate in English Language Teaching) and delivers the ACELS-approved English language teacher-training course to trainee English teachers on a 10-week course twice a year.

Helena has been involved in training for over 6 years and has trained in a wide range of areas from IT to Health & Safety, Pharmaceutical to Psychology.  Helena is an experienced professional who has delivered training and worked extensively within the corporate sector throughout her career. 
Helena has vast experience in co-ordinating projects, courses, training events, designing course materials, manuals and course information packs.
Helena has completed many continuing professional development courses which add greatly to the courses she lectures on.  Helena is a qualified Teacher of IT and a Microsoft Certified Trainer.  Helena also holds the Microsoft Master Instructor qualification.

Supevisory Management & Leadership

Christine Burns combines a strong academic background with extensive experience in industry, including a number of year’s managerial experience and a number of years in retail management.  Christine Burns holds a BA in Business and a qualification from NUI Maynooth in Continuing Education. Christine is experienced in developing and delivering high quality tailored programmes and brings a wealth of practical experience to her teaching practice.  She lectures in Business, Business Management, Leadership Skills, Accounts, and teaches a range of practical skills such as Computerised Accounts and Payroll.

Corporate Governance

Cathy holds a Bachelor of Civil Law from NUI Galway as well as a Barrister at Law Degree (Merit) from the Honourable Society of King’s Inns. Cathy is a practising barrister at the Four Courts, Dublin, where she practices general civil law. Her specialisations are in contractual and commercial disputes, insurance law and personal injuries law. Cathy teaches both Corporate Governance and Employment Law at Dorset College Dublin.
